2025 has been a year of highs and lows, a journey marked by challenges but also by moments of grace. For me, Rebecca, the year began very difficult. My health kept me out of service from late December 2024 until May. Those early months were hard, not just for me, but also for Philippe and our three children. Being unable to fully engage in family life or ministry, in the ways I longed to, was painful.
Yet, as spring turned to summer, there were brighter months. May, June, and July brought renewed energy and hope: I could be more present for my family and re-engage in ministry. These months reminded us of the value of small victories and the simple, yet profound, moments of joy that carry us through difficult seasons.
From August onward, however, the challenges returned and continued through the end of the year. Fatigue and physical limitations weighed heavily on daily life, our marriage, and my ability to serve. Still, even in these seasons of struggle, we felt God’s faithfulness, His closeness, and His strength guiding us through every difficulty.
Looking ahead to 2026, our hearts are filled with hope. My return to ministry will begin in February, at two days per week, allowing time to pace myself, learn from the past, and protect against setbacks. We enter this new year with eager anticipation: for moments of growth, for opportunities to serve more wisely and intentionally, and for shared joy in family life and ministry. We believe God is preparing wonderful things, and every challenge of 2025 has helped prepare us for what lies ahead.
To anyone facing difficult seasons, we want to offer encouragement: there is always hope. Even when life feels heavy and our strength feels limited, God is faithful and walks with us every step of the way. For our family, 2026 will be a year of renewal, restored strength, and meaningful accomplishments in line with God’s plan.
We look forward to sharing this new year with you, learning, serving, and celebrating all that God will do.
with love, Rebecca & Philippe
